Fisher support keeping the Lincoln Park Pool

Salisbury, North Carolina --- Dr. Ada M. Fisher of Rowan County, a community activist and former US Congressional candidate, as well as previous member of the Rowan Salisbury Board of Education is in support of keeping the Lincoln Park pool.  Fisher notes “This facility is the one public facility without financial cost where kids can congregate on our side of town.  It is ironic that we speak of the gang problem in this city yet are fast removing those facilities located in areas where our children are most at risk.  This is the same thing that happened to the Paul Laurence Dunbar School in East Spencer, NC” which Fisher says should be reacquired as a Center for Alternative Educational Excellence the RSS Board of Education and Rowan County Commissioners.

Fisher says that stopping citizens who are minding their business or walking in groups is a violation of their constitutional right of Free Assembly.  In an effort to curb perceived violence we must be very wary of trampling the constitution.
