Salisbury,
NC – Several residents in Salisbury’s Highway 150 area have
expressed concerns about their forced annexation which have reached the
ears of Dr. Ada M. Fisher, NC House District 77 seat Republican
Candidate. A very pro-business person, Fisher has been a long time
proponent of Eminent Domain Protections for people’s private property
when such is being seized against citizens will to simply expand a tax
base or for use by private developers for their own personal profit
without an overriding community benefit.
In Raleigh,
Dr. Fisher states, “I will support legislation that insures Eminent
Domain laws aren’t abused by government or private developers with
unscrupulous intent. If a man’s home is his castle, then he should have
some security that he may keep it without always having to look over his
shoulder. It is bad enough that this mortgage crisis is threatening
home ownership for many, let us not add to our citizen’s home ownership
worries.”
